This site is an "aggregator site," which means that it pulls together the ePortfolio pages of the exhibitors in MIAD's Senior Exhibition for 2017. Each exhibitor page is a snapshot and archive of an ePortfolio page built by a MIAD senior as part of her or his thesis project. Each page also contains links to the original student ePortfolio on which it is based. All work is the intellectual property of the individual artists and designers.
ePortolios are a crucial part of the MIAD learning environment. At MIAD, an ePortfolio is more than a just web page. By building ePortfolios, student artists and designers learn to document their work, organize their images into digital collections, curate those collections, reflect upon their work in written form, and then to present their work to others via the Internet.
Early in a student's academic career at MIAD, ePortfolios are shared primarily with classmates, teachers, and advisors. As a student progresses, there are opportunites to share ePortfolios with visiting professionals in one's field. Finally, as part of the Senior Exhibition, our graduating students share their ePortfolios more widely, entering the world as professional artists and designers.
